What shows do you prefer?

What type of show is your favourite? Championship, open, limit or fun/companion?

Personaly I prefer the fun/companion ones because there's isn't as much of a competitive feel about it and everyone is there for a fun day to support a charity. The dogs seem to get away with misbehaving more in the ring too

Re: What shows do you prefer?

General championship shows are my favourite - usually they are much more professionally run and I love seeing the wide variety of breeds and meeting up with other people I know from other breeds.

But I also love the various border collie breed club shows because they are like one big party where everyone knows everyone else, especially the weekend in November where there is W&P breeds of Scotland champ show on one day, and the Scottish Border Collie breed club champ show on the other, and nearly everyone stays in the same couple of hotels on the middle night! We've only managed to do it once because of various circumstances, but it was a brilliant weekend. Party on!

Re: What shows do you prefer?

I like Champ shows because of meeting up with everyone, but we are usually late in the ring so it makes it a very long day. I like open shows because they are local and alot of the time AVNSC is first in the ring.

Just Love the summer Champ shows at places Like Malvern -love sitting round the ringside with all the old crowd 'putting the world to rights' -and seeing each others new pups and the upcoming new 'stars' - Love LKA and the Christmassy atmosphere - love my local Open shows for a relaxed day out..... even love the razzamatz of Crufts (even though I complain every year ! )

Re: What shows do you prefer?

The LKA champ is my favourite, followed by crufts as you meet up with everyone who you wouldn't normally see at normal Gen Champ shows.

I love the summer champs too.... sitting ringside with all your mates (without having to huddle to keep warm) having a nice summer pint or bottle of champers after the BOB has been judged
