Re: What shows do you prefer?

Anyone remember when dog shows used to be part of the big Agricultural shows ?- they were great too - we used to Caravan and do the dog show the first day and then wander round the rest of the show the following day watching the Cattle, sheep etc being judged ( Just LOVED those show ponies ! ) - I always 'did' the plant stalls too and ended up buying loads of pots of new plants for the garden - we looked like a band of travelling gypsies on the way home with the car and caravan stuffed to the gunnels with dogs , kids, showing paraphanalia and great fronds of green stuff hanging out the windows - such a pity they separated the dog shows now from the big General County shows .

Our local agricutural show has a dog show but it's not a KC one or anything. Just the usual fun classes. Would be nice if it was a companion show because I'd be more likely to go!

Was never that keen on open, but have got back into them lately and quite enjoyed them, but my favourite are general champ shows.
