HEIDI

Heidi is a 14 month old greyhound girl. At just 26 inches, Heidi is a very petite lass and has a beautifully soft, deep black coat that makes her very striking.

Heidi is still just a puppy at heart, and loves romping around with the other greyhounds in the kennels. She has not yet experienced the joys of a home life, but once she discovers squeaky toys she is going to be in seventh heaven!

Heidi would do well with another young dog for company so they can drain each others energy by romping in the garden. She has not been tested with cats or small dogs yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if needed. She loves getting attention from her people, and will do anything for a cuddle.

This very pretty girl is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. We have a feeling that with her stunning looks and playful nature, this little poppet wont be waiting too long for her forever home!





**UPDATE 04/2010**

Heidi has had a preliminary cat test and passed it with flying colours! This test involved placing her in the same room as the cat and gauging her reaction. A more thorough cat test will be undertaken before Heidi goes to a home with cats, however, which will include placing her in a foster home with kitties to see if shes ok sharing her home with them.

Homes with cats are free to visit and reserve Heidi now, and we will do the thorough foster home test before she goes to her new home.


**UPDATE 04/2010**

Heidi has now been transported across to Norfolk in the UK where she is living with a cat in a foster home to see how she gets on. So far her fosterer is describing her as the perfect house guest and she is being very mannerly with the resident cat.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
