Post Free adoption

There are couple of charity organizations who are offering free puppies.
I think that's very thoughtless to buy a puppy when you can help to find a new home for a puppy who's looking for it.

There's one article where is listed some of the charity organizations - http://fr.ee/article/free-puppy

Or if you know some other organization or article, then let us know!

Lets help homeless puppies!

Re: Free adoption

most of them on them sites are scams, scams are very easy to tell as no one is going to give pedigree puppies away for free, hell most are cross breeding and calling them designer puppies and charging the earth for them, so why would some give them away for free, older dogs might be free to good home, but id still be very careful as to why its free,im all for giving puppies/dog a good chance in life they deserve it,but not to the expense of BYB or puppy farms

Re: Free adoption

I don't agree.
For example I know people who have good experiences with Graigslist.org and puppiessale.org
There are lots of people who take a puppy or a kitten without thinking it through and then just give them away.

I actually think that one of the most irresponsible things that anyone can do is to advertise ANY living thing 'for free' have not checked the link so really should not comment but seriously!! by advertising as 'free' I feel that the weong sort of people dcan be attracted! Just hope that any potential owners are thoroughly grilled prior to placing a 'free' pup!
just my views

Re: Free adoption

Giving pups away free is never a good idea, unless you know the person. Some of these pups "may" end up being sold on.

Re: Free adoption

Its a bad idea I agree. If you can't be bothered to save for a puppy or be willing to pay then its all too easy to dispose of them.

I'm giving my pup back to the breeder today and its the hardest desicion I've made and I saved and planned for him for a year+ but it was still a shock and made me realise I wasn't ready and made me cry all day yesterday (holding it together today so far)
People would make impulse desicions because of the no cost which could and most likely would result in them being abandoned or sold on.

Re: Free adoption

Totally agree. As a rescue we could very easily hand over our dogs for 'free' but what value is that giving the animals life? We expect our prospective owners to appreicate the cost involved of ownership and all that goes with it.

There's no such thing as a free lunch in my eyes.
