Smiffy, Jack Russell Terrier (DOB 11.03) needs home!
![]() His Story: Came into Rescue 2 years ago and then was homed in with a family and a JRT x Staffie bitch for 3 years. Smiffy did very well though was reported to get excited / nippy when people came. An incident where he was left unsupervised outside a shop and nipped a child, not overseen by any adult, meant he was surrendered . We are delighted to have Smiffy in our care. Salient points: Smiffy is a typical Jack; full of character. Not ever so confident in himself and takes support through the lead. Needs work on his apprehension in meeting strangers, but a minor issue. Advert: Smiffy is rather like his name full of life, full of character. He has had 2 homes in the past which he failed for being a Jack and his terrier nature wasn't fully managed and loved. He actually presents a solid little person, who has a smile on his face and he is coping well with being in rescue. He has appeal and charm; we're confidence he won't be with us long before a 'Jack Fan' home comes up which delights in him. He has lived with another dog successfully and meets dogs and people a little unsurely, but soon settles. Smiffy is now 5 years old and well into his career of busy-ness. He enjoys company, loves laps and would like to be a close companion of someone, but will need assurity and confidence generated in him to assure he loses his uncertainty which has obviously resulted from his previous homes. Neutered, chipped and fully vax. Mr Smiffy isn't iffy when it comes to looking forwards with glee ... his forever home is out there. What a delight. Smiffy has found his forever home
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() . Here is an update from his new owners:“Hi All, well, Smiffy has certainly proven to be a happy chap and is presently sat on the sofa beside me while typing this mail... What can I say, Smiffy has settled in perfectly well and is never more than a step or two behind me, we had a shopping stop on the way home from Farnham and bought a bed, food, bowls, leads and squeekies...which no longer squeek! Walks have been very calm affairs, other dogs are greeted well, after a little pulling, Smiffy is walking beautifully to heel and only 'goes terrier' when a reassuring word is given. All in all, we are delighted, and Smiffy seems very happy. We'd like to thank you all for your help and hard work...how you all do it I have no idea. We are now, a very happy family with the little Smiffy to remind us to have fun, look into everything, go for a walk and take every chance for a cuddle"! ![]() ![]()
