Cindy, 5 year old Lurcher needs home!


Her Story: Cindy was owned by a 'dog lover' who collected dogs beyond their capacity to care and provide for their needs (18!). These dogs were taken into 'care' at a young age and have been moved between kennels, stables and empty cars, anywhere, just to hold on to them with no prospect of bringing them homes or paying for their keep. The 7 remaining, who hadn't gone into rescue, were finally abandoned. Rescue Remedies have taken them on. They are ex-kennel dogs who need 'tender care' and acclimatization to domestic life.

Salient points: Cindy is healthy with a wonderful gentle temperament. Now seeking a loving home environment for her to learn the ropes with gentle introduction to lead walking and 'normal life' as most dogs know it.

Advert: Cindy is about 5 yrs old. She is beautiful, of mixed breeding, the size of a small Labrador with a 'terrier' profile complete with a cheeky beard and eyes to melt you.

Cindy is truly Cinderella ... she has been left without her needs being met and her beauty has been hidden from the world, but not for long! She is willing to put her intelligence and hard working nature into action and begin to catch up on lost ground. Cindy is spayed, fully vet assessed and 1st vax'd with her 2nd vax required in mid May. Great with dogs, a little shy of humans, but soon settles and builds trust.

Cindy ideally needs a home with another dog, owner’s time and patience. She needs to build a firm foundation as her skill base is laid in slow steps. If you are looking for a ready made dog ... quick results ... perhaps not. You can get a false reading with these dogs and underestimate their inner needs. Cindy needs to work from within, so she can feel in control as she embraces life and welcome the 'newness' of opportunities offered to her. Do you have dedicated time to offer and would you be thrilled to be part of Cindy's emergence and slow skill acquisition? If you can offer her stability, safety and loving guidance, either as a single dog or as part of your confident pack, she would like to hear from you. Cindy needs to take her introduction to the world slowly and build her confidence from the inside outside, in preparation for going to that all important 'Ball'.

Text from foster home with a view to homing....I think Mabel (Cindy’s new name) has settled in beautifully. No-one wants to send her back so assume she is officially an Armstrong. Will call tomorrow about adoption and feel free to come and see her. Love Jo
