Hi There
First I know money is tight for everyone and you all have you own pets to take care of but please would you consider helping with a donation no matter how small. Dylan is a 2yr old Great Dane who with his best friend Gracie went to live at the Great Dane Adoption Society then came to live with us as our Foster Danes. 2wks ago Dylan was diagnosed with Wobblers Syndrome which affects the spine in the neck area. They did an MRI scan and found that 2 of his vertibrea were squashing his spinal cord one of which had crushed it flat and how he was managing to walk no one knows. 2 days after diagnosis Dylan had a major operation to correct this which lasted 7hrs The vets worked wonders and we prepared ourselves to be without Dylan for another 3 - 4wks though Dylan had other ideas and was standing 4 days later, this would not normally happen for at least 2wks. To keep it short Dylan is home after only 10 days after his operation, he has amazed everyone. We especially are greatful the GDAS decided to go ahead with this as we have had Dylan & Gracie for just over a year and have become very attached to them. Because Dylan has had this operation neither of them are up for adoption any more and will stay with us for ever now as sponsor dogs Now comes the appeal part. This operation has cost the GDAS around £10,000 which is a very large chunk of money from their funds but if they hadn't agreed Dylan would have been totally paralised and the enevatable would have had to be done. Please can you help by making a donation to Dylan's vet bills, if so please contact Joy at the Great Dane Adoption Society, we would be so greatful. Great Dane Adoption Society - UK rescue and rehoming Thank you for taking the time to read this Gail, Dave, Gracie & Dylan. These are Dylan's hospital pictures 003.jpg 004.jpg 005.jpg 008.jpg

Re: Dylan's Appeal, Can You Help????
Hi
Just thought I would let you know how Dylan is doing. Well he is running round the field like a puppy with Gracie our other Dane. His gait is still a little odd but at least he can still stand after a walk. Recently we took both Dylan & Gracie to the GDAS Fun Day where Dylan got a special award for the dog over coming traumer at a young age, he also got his first sponsor. Dylan is now a sponsor dog as he is not really adoptable now due to his problems but will be staying in our care and so as they don't get seperated we adopted Gracie as she is adoptable and could have gone somewhere else. Dylan still has to have his patellas checked but all in all he is doing GREAT. D108.jpg
