Looking for a foster home

I'm doing this and feeling sad that it has come to it. We have 2 lovely dogs but due to a change in our circumstances we may have to look for new homes for them. We own a house in Wiltshire and are in tempary accommidation in Wales. We moved to Wales because my husband was offered a new job so we moved the family there. We are in a 2 up 2 down house owned by the company but with 2 dogs 2 young children and 3rd on the way as well as us it is very cramped. We were hoping to sell our home in Wiltshire to enable us to buy something in Wales. However with the current climate this has not happened so to afford to pay for 2 homes we now have to rent out our home in Wiltshire and find a bigger place for us to rent to live in in Wales. However finding somewhere that will allow us to have the dogs seems impossible even with the promise to keep the dogs in a purpose built run and kennel having no access to the house. Its looking like we will have to rehome the dogs which will break our hearts. If i could find a foster home with the ability to get them back when things improve we could possibly feel happier about not having them. We have a Bassett Hound and Collie X ideally we would like them to stay together. The collie x is more nervous and is not good with other dogs or cats but both are well behaved. If someone can help or come up with another solution we would be very grateful.

Re: Looking for a foster home

Just to let everyone know we managed to persuade the landlords of the new house to let us keep the dogs. We explained how we keep them in our own house - in dog pen during the day and limited access to the whole house as this works well with 2 small children as well - and we are trialing it.
The only problem could be the collie X as he can be a constant barker. we've introduced a spray collar which seemed to work for about a week.
I'll keep everyone posted on the out come.
