Re: Lois 1 y/o bitch very loving rescue dog [ Birmingham]

You really should be taking her back to the rescue centre not advertising her on here, whi don't you give thema ring & express your concerns first? She has been passed around already so new potential owners should be properly assessed to ensure that she will not be rehomed again.

Also she is not spayed, please get this done if you insist on privately rehoming her or she could be used to breed from causing her further stress.

Cannot agree more, you have a duty of care to this dog, and it should be assessed by professionals not passed to someone else because you are too cowardly to face facts.

Shame on you.

Don't judge me how rude!!!

You don't know me you don't know how hard this is for me.

Shame on you!!

I have never gone through this process. I will get In touch with the dogs home tomorrow but I've had her a year and will only take her back if they have the space as they concentrate taking dogs in from the street first.

I want t find her a loving home and thought this would be a good place.

Please don't judge me, I'm doing the best I can

the point is you are NOT doing the best you can in the best interests of this dog.

You are trying to evade your responsibilities because you cannot bear the thought that this dog may be put down, you would rather someone ELSE was responsible for this.

TAKE HER BACK TO THE RESCUE or get in touch with the behaviourist.

There is no shame in not being able to cope with a dog, there IS shame in not facing your responsibilities.

Remember dogs are for life not just for Christmas, and you have a duty of care to this dog and to the rescue where you got her.

THEY want dogs to come back to them, not be rehomed without their knowledge; the same way breeders do.

Fair enough but why say 'shame on you ' and your a coward etc etc?

I am neither, and personally thought if I found a good owner anywhere it would be better than a dogs home etc. I now know better and have took the advertisement down and not because of your judgement but because deep deep down I have the best interest of Lois in my heart.

I will take her back to the dogs home. Or an animal shelter this seems the best cause of action.

I really think this is best if you really do not think you can cope with her anymore.

Just be honest with the centre, explain what her problems are, what you have tried doing, etc that way they can try & find a more experienced owner for her.
