Milo's Mummy is on a distinguished road
Forever home needed for male JRT cross

Hi everyone

We've made the heartbreaking decision to rehome our JRT cross, Milo. He is approx 6 years old (we got him as a stray so we have little background info on him) but still has his puppy antics.

He is very high energy, ball/play obsessed, jumpy (6ft in the air easy!) and on alert most of the time. He is calm and relaxed when inside the house and just loves nothing more than cuddling up with us. However outside is a different ball game and his behaviour is becoming harder to control. He also seems to have a fear or 'protective streak' in the dark and will bark at everything and anything. He generally loves people but seems to have a thing about people with hats especially in the dark!

We have seen a behaviourist recently and she just adored him and said he was a 'cracking dog' but she is well aware he has his issues which needs a lot of consistent training, time and patience to work on.

My partner and I both work full-time and my partner now has a new job which means a lot of varying shifts including night shifts and since he started his new job we have seen a negative change in Milo's behaviour outside.

We took the decision previously to rehome him but it broke our heart to part with him so we kept him and increased his training, and now we're at that point again, and this time we know we have to go through with it.

He is very intelligent and with consistent, persistent and constant training I do believe he will be the lovable dog outside that he is inside, unfortunately we just cannot give him that time.

He must go to his forever home to a person or couple with no young children or other pets and they must understand the nature of his breed(s). A large garden would be ideal and I cannot stress enough the new owners MUST have plenty of time to devote to him. We do not want to take him to a dog home where he will sit in kennels again, he deserves better than that.

The new owner must be prepared to give him regular vet checks as he has allergic skin disease and scratches most of the time however steriods do calm the itch. Other than his allergies, he is as 'fit as a butcher's dog' and in great health. You really wouldn't believe he's 6 years old!

We live on the West Coast of Scotland. Questions welcome.

Thank you.

Re: Forever home needed for male JRT cross

PLEASE please please get your dog into a rescue. Bad breeders, scammers and dog traders prey on ads like this. A rescue will be able to get your dog a 5* home due to the really thorough checks done
