Simba - 18 month old Border Collie - Loves children and other dogs
Simba is a stunning 18 month old Border Collie. He has come into us from a home that unfortunately did not have the time to provide him with the exercise he needs.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He is an absolute darling who is very well mannered. He is fully house trained and knows and responds well to all his basic commands. Simba is well behaved in the house and is brilliant with his fosterer's 4 year old child. Simba loves playing with his ball and going on walks. He is so well behaved on the lead that his fosterer's child can walk him. He sleeps all night and shows no food or toy aggression. Simba can be slightly nervous of men but as soon as he knows they will give him a fuss or a treat he is their best friend! He LOVES being made a fuss of and talked to. If you stop he'll paw your leg to make you carry on! Simba is a real darling looking for a home where he can get a good amount of exercise. He is happy to live with children and dogs but has not been cat tested. This lovely boy has been neutered, vaccinated and chipped. He is currently on foster in South Wales but we home across the UK. If you're interested in adopting Simba, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure; Animals For Adoption - www.friendsoftheanimalsrct.org.uk Before completing a pre-adoption form; Dog pre-adoption form - www.friendsoftheanimalsrct.org.uk If you have any questions then please do ask

Re: Simba - 18 month old Border Collie - Loves children and other dogs
FOSTERER UPDATE: Simba is doing really well for and I really cant sing his praises enough. He is everything you could ever want in a family dog!Today Simba came up to visit my horse with me and was completely unfazed and had a little play with the farm collies new puppies! He has excellent recall skills and always does exactly as is told. He "helped" my 4 year old daughter with her painting yesterday and they both ended up covered in paint! I instantly had to put both of them in the bath. Simba was excellent in the bath although as soon as he got out he decided he couldnt wait for a towel and shook himself all over the bathroom which we had to spend an hour drying off - typical dog! All was in vain as i put my 4 year old in the bath an hour later and as she got out Simba crashed into the bathroom and jumped into the water! It was a hairdryer job this time! He is now very fluuuuuffffy and clean! He is still his usual loving self and follows me to bed every night at 11 on the dot. He lies across my lap when I have an hour reading in bed and I swear he is reading too! I dont usually allow dogs in my daughters room but a few times she has sneaked him in during the night and I find them cuddled up in bed! He is going to make a wonderful pet.

Re: Simba - 18 month old Border Collie - Loves children and other dogs
We have just had to have our 15 year old collie x lab put to sleep. She was my baby and I have been devastated. The house is horrible now.
Simba sounds perfect, we have an acre of garden - but we do have chickens... how do you think Simba would be with them? I would love a collie x or similar again, such wonderful dogs. I do go to work, but I am looking for a dog that would happily travel in the car for 20 mins and come to work with me, where they could sit in my office and get fussed over by everyone who comes in. We love walking, and miss our long walks that we did with Molly. I am not someone who makes their dog sleep in the kitchen - Molly always slept on the floor at the side of my bed, but my 13 year old twins would really love a dog that would sleep in their bedroom, which I would happily oblige. Simba sounds wonderful |

Quote:
I'm afraid Simba is now reserved and we don't currently have any dogs that'd be suitable for you. Try looking on Dogs for Adoption & Rescue - DogsBlog.com Dogs are listed on there from rescues across the UK and using the bar on the right side of the page you can search by breed.Good luck
