Punt is a very handsome 10 month old Lurcher/Collie mix. He is a lovely youngster who is looking for an active, loving home which can commit to him.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Punt has been with us since February; he came to us at 10 wks old after being saved from being put to sleep because of his wonky legs. He had some x-rays done and it was decided best to wait and see how his legs were after he had grown a bit. Well after spending some time down in Cornwall on foster with Linda, he has now come back to Wales with his legs looking much better. Punt visited the vet recently and his legs are so much straighter now that they see no need to do any operations - to operate could cause more him to have problems, just for the sake of his legs being perfectly straight. His legs don't bother him at all, but he may suffer with some arthritis in his front legs in later life. He is a lovely and very playful young boy who is looking for an active home where he also has some doggy pals to play with. He is very good with other dogs and children but has not been cat tested. He will benefit from training classes and he'd very much enjoy an activity such as agility or flyball. Follow this link for a slideshow of photos of this lovely boy - punt He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. Punt is currently on foster in Derby but we home across the UK. If you're interested in adopting Punt, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure; Animals For Adoption - www.friendsoftheanimalsrct.org.uk Before completing a pre-adoption form; Dog pre-adoption form - www.friendsoftheanimalsrct.org.uk If you have any questions then please do ask

Re: Punt - 10 month old Lurcher (collie) - Dog and child friendly
Here is an update from his fosterer:
"He is looking lean, tall and healthy, loves to run and play with other dogs, never a cross word or woof. He likes to poo when he gets up in the morning and then straight away after breakfast. He hasn't started to cock his leg yet but he seems to have a large volume bladder! He has a special woof that he uses if Coady or Dusty have something he wants (like their own chewy bone) and a very sad yippy noise if they are out in the garden without him. He is very good in the house, although you do have to watch out for him becoming bored as he will occupy himself with any shoes, socks or scrubbing brushes that happen to be around. If you say 'what are you doing?' he always drops whatever he is munching. He still needs to be persuaded to walk up the ramp into the back of the car (a treat helps here) but travels perfectly happily and quietly with my other dogs...and of course has a great time on the walk at the other end. He is happy to be groomed and today had his nails trimmed with no fuss. He has lovely soulful eyes that look at you adoringly when you tell him how handsome he is and stroke his head and ears. We have started to let him sleep out of his crate and so far he has been fine, nothing chewed overnight. He can go up and down stairs but is a bit 'Bamby-ish' because of his long legs so sometimes there is a bit of a clatter until he gets co-ordinated. At the moment he is in his crate...the door is open, he decided to go in by himself and is asleep on his cushion. He is such a good friend to have around, a good companion with just a hint of mischief to add sparkle." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
