Snow - German Shepherd x Collie (Hope Rescue)
Snow is a male 2 year old collie x german shepherd and is currently on foster in Pontypridd, South Wales.
The Snow Fact File Dog status: Excellent Cat status: Not in foster with cats but may be workable Child staus: Excellent, could be rehomed with children aged 5 years plus who are used to dogs Home alone: Good House training: Very good Basic training: he will sit and lay down, he is getting to know paw and wait. ![]() ![]() Snow is the sort of dog who is a true pleasure to rehome. He is a perfect gentleman and a very genuine and loving dog. He has settled in with his foster home beautifully and has been very good with the children and their existing dogs. He could be rehomed with other dogs or on his own. Snow loves to be out and about and will be looking for an active new home who will get him out at least twice per day. Having said that he is not a demanding dog and settles in the house and does not pester to be walked. He will need a secure garden as he has a good jump. ![]() Snow has not been fully assessed with cats but he came to us as a surrender rather than from the pound meaning we have some history for him. We were told he was OK with cats so this may need further testing if he were to be considered to be rehomed with feline friends. He has been living with children aged 6 and 8 and has been very well behaved with them. He could be rehomed with children over the age of 5 years. He can be a little shy when he meets new people but he soon warms up to their company. ![]() Having told you all his good points now it is time for the challenging points. However, in typical Snow style they are pretty minor and easy to deal with. Firstly he loves plastic bags and will shred them if he gets his paws on them. He is also a bin raider All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from Home - http://hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
