Tosca, Lakeland X Jack Russell X, DOB 04.07.2008

Tosca, Lakeland X Jack Russell X, DOB 04.07.2008

Homing Requirements: Tosca needs a terrier experienced family who are ready for a young lively terrier. She needs to be in a less urban setting than currently. Older children but Tosca doesn't understand children and is worried by them and needs to be watched out in public as she can bite if not managed well. Could live with a companion dog or only pet.

Her Story: Tosca has been with her family from a puppy and grew up with 4 and 6 year old children...all are 3 years older now. Will snap when on lead or inside at children, or if feels vulnerable/cornered. A baby has come into the family and Tosca isn't pleased and will growl. She is managed around children but the baby has made it very difficult and she is closed away when children visit or the baby is crawling. Neutered, vax'd, chipped, well trained and disciplined.

Advert: Tosca has had a very good background and consequently she is fluent with dogs and people. She has good play skill and is disciplined around house rules and knows her place. She loves her family and is a joy. Her only issue is her wariness of children, on a lead or inside. She can snap at children and has broken skin. With a baby now in her family her owners are trying to find a responsible family where care will be taken outside but also where young children are not such a feature.

Tosca is as pretty as her pictures. We hope people completing our homing questionnaire will read her advert as her home has to be just right for her needs. People that have owned a terrier will actually smile as she has far fewer issues than most. She stays with her Gran's 2 Cairns for 3 weeks at a time and loves to play around dogs so she may suit a doggie family with more than one or she will happily be the only dog. Tosca needs stability and to offer and receive lots of fun.
