Daisy - Rottweiler (Hope Rescue)
Daisy is a 5 year old Rottweiler and is currently on foster in Newcastle Emlyn.
The Daisy Fact File Dog status: Whilst Daisy can be social and enjoy other dogs company, it is on her own terms and she can be assertive and reactive, especially with other female dogs. Cat status: Daisy loves a good chase so would not be safe to be rehomed with any cats or small animals Child status: Daisy is looking for a home with no children House training: Was a work in progress when she first arrived at her foster home but has a good routine now and is clean Home alone: Daisy bonds very closely with people and does not like to be alone. She will be looking for a home where someone is around for the best part of the day. Basic training: She arrived in care very fearful and would cower and crouch when you went to stroke her, this is getting a lot better but she’s been badly abused and training has to be careful to keep her confidence as she’s naturally sensitive. ![]() To sum up Daisy I will use a quote from her foster mum 'I know beyond a doubt she would walk through fire with me' Daisy has been through a lot in her short life and her experiences have left her a confused and sensitive dog. Daisy is looking for an experienced home who have previously owned Rottweiler’s or similar large guarding breeds. The ideal home will be a quiet and adult only, where peace and kindness reign and she can continue to bloom. She is not a dog for busy, noisy environments and a quiet, rural home would suit her best. Daisy is currently in foster with other dogs but she can be intolerant of other large females and can be assertive in her interactions with them. We will not rehome her with existing female dogs. Daisy bonds very deeply and loyally. Once she knows you and you win her trust and love she will devote herself to you. This means she likes to be in the company of her people as much as possible and will be looking for a new home where people are around for the best part of the day (or all of the day if Daisy got her way). ![]() All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from Home - http://hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
