Poppy is a 4 1/2 month old German Shepherd/Lurcher cross and is currently on foster in Wrexham.

Child status: Good, but can still mouth. Can be rehomed with children 5 yrs +
House training: Still needs a little help
Home alone: Poppy is not yet keen on being left. Her foster family have introduced a crate and are working on this
Basic training: Has learnt to sit, is good on the lead and waits before eating.



Poppy loves the company of other dogs .....especially if she can squeeze into their beds with them for a snooze. She would love a foster or forever home where she will have canine company, however, she could also be rehomed as an only dog.
Poppy is also living with cats in her foster home who she is well behaved with.



Poppy is very intelligent and biddable and aims to please. She has learnt a lot in a short space of time in her foster home and her manners are developing beautifully. She is good on the lead and does not pull. She does still need help with housetraining but this is improving.



Poppy is not yet happy being left on her own at night or in the daytime. Her foster carers have crate trained her and are helping her with this issue. She is looking for a new home which will continue this work. She will be looking for a home where people are around for the best part of the day.



All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
