Re: Labrador Coat

Thats not a bad price from Sainsburys, we don't have one really close to where I am, but we have a PaH - I only go in so my toddler can look at the fish and smaller furry things.

My border collie didn't have a bath or go near water for about 2 years untils she was really ill - she caught parvo even though she'd been vaccinated against it (this was in the '80's when it first made it's appearance and was killing dogs like mad) after she got better she had to have a bath as she absolutely stunk - I think evennow I'd recognise that smell - so because my dad was bathing my dog the other 4 dogs had to have a bath too, lol, dogs don't need bathing every week, Katie gets a maximum of 2 baths per year generally when she's in her heaviest stages of moulting as her hair is just everywhere no matter how much I brush her. She only smells when she gets damp - the outer hairs slightly wet but her undercoat is still dry and then she only smells the same as after a bath.

Re: Labrador Coat

my dog gets wormed and de-flea'd every month with avocate, as its part of the V.I.P plan at the vets that i use (£10/month for monthly or tri monthly appt depending on if they give 3months supply or apply it themselves, their vaccinations and the microchip and anything else like nail trims etc)

Re: Labrador Coat

I worm the dogs (and cat) every three months but I'm in a high risk area - ;oads of sheep and wild life about - mice, rats, weasels, stoat, otter, fox etc. The cat catches mice, leaves presents for the dogs, they eat the carcass and the worm cycle begins again.
