Re: Labrador Coat

I'm not sure but I think it's probably cheaper to get them from the vets. I pay £3.48 a tablet for Drontal.

Re: Labrador Coat

Ah right, thanks ajshep1984 and Katherena I will ask the vet when I take him for his shots then and see if they sell them.

£3.50 is nothing when you think what they prevent.

Thanks for the advice

Re: Labrador Coat

They're £8.99 advertised on Pets at Home website, thats 2 tabs panacur plus flavour? Think that was what they were called. A bit more expensive than at the vets I think, it usually costs me about £5 or £6 for the cats and dog wormers from the vets, would cost me a lot more from the pet shop.

Re: Labrador Coat

Re: Labrador Coat

I have problems lifting my dog - she squirms and wriggles a lot and at the size more or less of a lab my arms just arn't long enough to hold her to weigh us together, lol. She doesn't change in weight that much so a quick call to the vet nurse and she sorts it all out for me

see with my 2 one has just come out of season and the other was neglected in her previous home so their weight changes every week
When I first took both of them the vet looked at me looked at the dogs and said i can see why u brought them, i am 5ft 4ish weighing 8 and a half stone shila is 27inches to the shoulder and weighs 29kg Isis is smaller and stockier so I think i'd put my back out trying to lift them

Re: Labrador Coat

LOL I remember when the vet said to me "lift him on to the table" when he was a puppy, and I hadn't realised just how much he had grown and I could barely do it lol.

They weigh loads, think I'd look very silly trying to lift him up now lol.

Re: Labrador Coat

we're about the same height and weight and Katie is roughly the height of a lab (I've not actually measured her - one thing to do after I've slept). She's around 22KG give or take a few hundred grams. I've had to climb over styles with her when we've been out walking and it's not something I would try to do often, it's not the weight it's the wriggling that gets me everytime, I think I'm gonna drop her. I think she thinks I'm gonne drop her!
I'm gonna go into pets at home tomorrow and look at the wormers so I can edit my post and give the correct name thats on the packet otherwise it'll bug me.

Re: Labrador Coat

Ah right kool thank you.

Billy isn't so bad, he jumps over small things or crawls under them, I haven't had to personally lift him since he was young, I honestly don't think I could lift him now bless him, he's all grown up

Re: Labrador Coat

don't know if i can put this on here but its cheaper to buy wormers online at hyperdrug. I've just paid £36 for 24 drontal plus for my lot enough to orm all my aduldts with some left over. Our local sainsburys has just started selling them £25 for 8. I also bought some panacur 10% suspension for my pups £20 from the vets £13.95 online and free postage on wormers I ordered them on Wed delivered on Friday

I only bath mine for shows and only the ones that are mostly white get a complete bath
