Hi, that article was written by me. In answer to the questions above:
No vitamins or minerals are needed in my view, but many of the vets and especially commercial food sponsored ones will obviously say otherwise, but then advice given with a financial benefit attached isn't the most unbiassed in the world!! Owning dogs for years, feeding natural raw meat for years and i have never had a deficiency problem and don't think i ever will. its NATURAL, that means its PERFECT in my view!
Forthglade - i used to live just a few miles from their factory in Devon. we used their meats for years and it was the best we have ever used for our dogs. Unfortunately its a lot more expensive when you don't live round the corner and can't buy it from the factory sales shed any more!! Now use another company called Landywoods which deliver (in large quantities, large freezer needed!) but they are brilliant as well, and very very cheap but still good quality. Even our cats turn their noses up at Whiskers in gravy and steal the dog's tripe!!
