Re: Foxy is going to the Vets tomorrow to get checked
Hi,
I looked at your bio and see that Foxie is a puppy. If you havent already, it would be good to have a full blood workup to be able to have a baseline to watch for changes against. This has saved my babies by catching problems as they are starting becase so much of the time it will show up here first! I always encourage people to not let the medical community dismiss owners intuitive eelings about the seriousness about symptoms. There are several wholistic email lists over at yahoo.com as well which provide several wonderful natural solutions which help dogs recover from stressful or short term situations as well. Please keep posting with how things turn out at the Vets! |

Sometimes Cystitis shows same symptoms of a UTI. For cystitis put one small spoonful Sodium Bicarbonate in drinking water to get urine back to alkaline

I'm not really sure how dogs get a UTI, whether it's through bacteria getting in there or due to stress. If so, it might have been when she went for her first vaccine last week. She started changing the day after... or maybe it has nothing to do with that, but she did react rather badly to the injection. She got extremely stressed and upset. I've done a search on Google, it also says a food too high in Protein can cause UTI's: Quote:
![]() Typical Analysis Protein 32.0% Oil 21.0% Ash 7.0% Fibre 2.0% Calcium 1.3% Phosphorous 1.0% Copper (as copper sulphate) 20 mg/kg Selenium (as sodium selenite) 0.15 mg/kg Is that too high for a puppy? What percentage of protein would you recommend roughly?
