Re: Pups having to wait until week after last injection?.......
I haven't had a dog for many years as I work long hours but I remember having a puppy as a child and not even being allowed to take him in the garden until after his second injection unless I carried him. It didn't make a lot of sense to me at the time which is probaby why I remember it - I wanted to play in the garden, he wanted to play - but I was under strict instructions not to put him down.
That was a very long time ago though as I am in my 40's now. Not sure what I will do about the garden when I am in a position to get a dog - as it does sound like they may be at risk just from being out there - but that's a long time in the future. I know when I've had kittens they haven't been allowed even in the garden until the week after their second injection and I will stick to that with the kitten(s) I am keeping from my current litter.
