Re: Swollen Foot . Mosqiuto Bites

You could try bathing his feet in cold salted water the cold will sooth the itching and the salt will clean the bitten area cleaning out any bacteria from him licking . you should be able to get hold of some mozie spray that is ok for dogs , or try citronella like we would use . Is his foot swollen from knocking it or from the bites ? . If its from the bites then go with the cold salted water if he will let you put a wet tea towel in the frezzer for about half an hour till it really chills and wrap it around his foot and try securing it with a sock to keep it in place for a while you can do this often till the swelling goes down . If on the other hand its swollen because he banged it he may have bruised it or even cracked a bone so see if he is lame and if it continues a trip to the vets to rule out a break .

Re: Swollen Foot . Mosqiuto Bites

Yeh There Not Flea Bites We Treat Him Regulaly With Flea Repellent Once A Month .. Its Mozzies I Believe , His Foot Is Swollen From When He Banged It I Have Been Out All Day Today ( Mom Was Home Though ) And I Just Checked His Foot Its Not As Big As It Was Yesterday But Still A Little Swollen , I Think Its Just Bruised But He Can Walk On It Fine And Run Fine But He Wont Let You Touch It , I Will Check The Vet If They Have Any Dog Mozzie Repelent ( I Dont Think They Have Citronella ) And In The Meantime I Will Bathe His Feet In Cool Salty Water . Thankyou !
