Boxer diet help

My litter will be ready for next stage feeding after having puppy porridge. Im a little confused as to whats what now.
On my previous litter (3 yrs ago) i followed the stud dog and my Bitch's breeders guidelines and was giving meat & biscuit with bone meal x twice a day
milkly food x twice aday (vit c in eve)
Im confused as to whether the bone meal & Vit c is still given to pups or with the dry food now available these are not nessasary now.

Ive been in contact with stud dog owner who also breeds but despite several e mails, phone messages etc she hasnt even acknowleded my litter!!!! So much for follow up care & advice!!!!

Re: Boxer diet help

You can start weaning onto complete from 3 weeks, if you plan to feed complete. No need for anything else at all. Just soak until soft in hot water, then blend, gradually making it thicker/drier as pups get older.

I've never given lactol/puppy milk and never had a pup with the runs, which s is something lots of people sem to think is normal. The whole point of weaning is to get pups off milk, so feeding milk seems slightly odd to me, unles there is a specific reason for doing so.

Re: Boxer diet help

Mum has Lactol and i did intend giving to pups at some point. Im just stuck on what food to give them that they will continue through puppyhood!!! I have a bag of James wellbeloved here, as well as Arden grange and pedigree.

Oh why do these company's give us so much choice Its so difficult knowing who to believe when it comes to "advertisments/statements" for their food. Thank god for forums where you get honest opinions
