Re: what food is best
Pero is only 20% meat meal, so les than 20% meat. It also contains a lot of grain. (rice) Not good on paper, in my opinion.
If I had to say which I thought was the 'best' complete, it'd be Orijen. However, most dogs will do very adequately on completes such as Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Arden Grange etc. I personally feel that the 'best' food for most dogs is what nature intended (albeit a slightly more luxury version!) so raw food and based on the prey model with regard to proportions of muscle meat/bones/offal/fruit/veg/herbs/seeds etc |

Re: what food is best
Same here, raw is the best way to feed in my opinion. Best commerical food is Orijen without a doubt.
![]() Cav's are quite sensitive regards food aren't they? I know all the Cav's we've had have been. James Wellbeloved doesn't go down well with them in my experience. I would definatly try Orijen first (unless you want to try raw) as it's grainless and as "biologically appropriate" as a dry food can be. ![]() I feed my dogs a natural raw diet and I would feed it to any dog I had, regardless of breed. |

Re: what food is best
Go to Landywood Pet Foods : Home - i buy minced meat mix, hearts, tripe, tripe and chicken, minced beef, meat and veg mix and lamb and tripe and use their wholebake holistic mixer. It all comes pre frozen in 1 lb packs so you just defrost the amount you require. I'm sure the dogs will love it but you must always change the diet very slowly over at least two weeks so as ot to upset their stomachs - so if i was u I'd give 90% their current dry food with just 10 % meat and work up from there. Landywoods is in the Midlands so they'll deliver regularly to your area
