Exclamation Need A Help

Dear Pet Forum Community,

My Cocker Spaniel - named "Carlo" is 9yr. old dog...

He cough, and after that has a short inpulse as vomiting but he doesnt't vomit anything...sometimes has fast breathing like not

having enough air accompaned with something like small whisteling

Doc. says that he have a "small" bronchitis because of extended heart (as seen on Rendtgen pic. ) /or vice versa?/.
He is also...a little bit...FAT.vets said that the extended heart can be also cosed by the overmuch weight

Any therapy or second diagnostic opinion ?

Can YOU HELP HIM, pls, tell me...what to do ??

Thanks a lot, best wishes and regards,
Margarita.

Re: Need A Help

Hello, I would say go with the vets advice. Coughing can be caused by being overweight in what is called a "Tracheal Collapse". Your vet is the only one who has seen the dog in the flesh so to speak, so he or she will give the best advice.

Re: Need A Help

Go to vet asap and get him checked over. An enlarged heart can cause fluid retention which makes dogs cough.
