Unhappy Dog broke leg

You all have been so kind and generous in your advice I thought I owed it to you to let you know our 8 yr old Pom, got out of our yard and the next door neighbors dog attacked him. He has a compound fracture of the rear leg, with a majority of the bone missing in a chunk. See the diagram below, the indent is all the bone that is missing. The vet said he only had that top edge and bottom to pin and put a rod in

Re: Dog broke leg

He has been gone since Wed and we have him back. He is all messed up all over. Has to be confined to a small kennel, but overall I think he will be okay.

As far as insurance in Montana most people don't believe in pet insurance. We struggle for just human insurance, so no he is not covered.

It is going to be a long road but I think he will survive.
