You all have been so kind and generous in your advice I thought I owed it to you to let you know our 8 yr old Pom, got out of our yard and the next door neighbors dog attacked him. He has been gone since Wed and we have him back. He is all messed up all over. Has to be confined to a small kennel, but overall I think he will be okay.

As far as insurance in Montana most people don't believe in pet insurance. We struggle for just human insurance, so no he is not covered.

It is going to be a long road but I think he will survive.

my dog broke her leg...took 9 months to recover, vet trips every day, coz of infections...flesh eating bug set in ect...but she got thro it and im sure urs will x
