hiya guys not been on in a while as i told you i got new good as a animal care advisor working full time so not much time to myself, but needing a bit of help on mircochipping ive been trainned up passed ect but noticed im having problems with chipping white dogs! doing all other animals fine but when me and a colleague try chipping a white dog its very difficult as they tend to bite you alot(i no all dogs do this)but they bleed lots and it destress's the dog and with blood tending to appear more on a white one its harder to chip.does anyone else on here mircochip and can give advise or help full hints for me please?

I don't micro chip dogs but we have a white Ab and when he had his chip done he never did a thing just sat there and he never new it had been done

I have never heard that white dogs are more prone to bitingI did not think they bled much either during Microchipping as it is into sucutaneous fat Anyway sorry I cannot help you out

They only look like they bleed more because they are white and you can see it.

When i did my training they gave me a white fluffy Bicon,as soon as i got hold of its scruff it screamed it continued to scream while i cleaned its neck and i thought great,its going to bleed loads but luckily it didnt as soon as i let it go it jumped up at me and licked me how sweet

Every dog and cat i got either riggled, screamed or growled but everyone stood like a rock when i got the needle out

1 of my english bullys is white and she didnt flinch wen she was microchipped...and he came round our house to do it altho i did see the blood, not much mind you buts its only coz shes white.

my otha english bully won hers at a dog show lol...he couldnt get it in for the life of him, he said her skin was like a rhino's pmsl....he finally got it in and she didnt flinch eitha.

maybe youve just had bad experiences wiv white dogs

its a difficuilt one for me guess i just had a bad experence and watching my work partner shake alot on the next one put me off but hey i done another 4 dogs today so im good now

Toots didnt bleed at all but it did hurt her as she was so small
