Teabags?

Well Milo has just recently ate some of a tea bag, I'm not sure if he consumed the material or not, but found tea leaf powder over the kitchen floor.

Should I be worried or not?

*Also if anyone knows what I can do to stop him going in the bin please tell me, he is constantly lifting the lid with his nose, it's getting to the point where it is really annoying.

Re: Teabags?

It is toxic to dogs,, but i think they have to consume a fair amount for it to be a problem.

Might be worth calling your vet tbh.

Re: Teabags?

I think he most likely swallowed a quater or half of the tea bag, but the actual bag I can't find.

EDIT: The vets have told me to keep an eye on him over the next 2 hours and if I'm worried then I should bring him in.

Re: Teabags?

I wouldnt have thought such a small quantity would effect him (how many dogs raid bins in the streets full of tea scattered over the food in there)? but as always if you are concerned your best bet is just a quick call to your vets.
