What is a PDSA please?

If one is local (is it a vet type place?) I will take him right now.

Just phoned the job center, they are getting back to me within 3h about general dog healthcare support.
This will help you PDSA - Eligibility

Re: I think my dog is ill

Just phoned the PDSA up and i'm not covered as I don't receive housing benefits, the only thing they could do was give me an rspca number...sat on the 0870 line on hold for about 6mins and gave up.

The rspca will be ur next best option i think...u may be able to get vet treatment cheaper from them then a normal vets...look for a rspca in ur area and ring them and tell them ur situation...see wat they can suggest m8.

Re: I think my dog is ill

Tell you what, for a company who make themselves out to care for dogs they're sodding useless.

Their pet nurse type line is £1.50 a min for support over the phone.

Then the number they gave me for the local store is only open mon, wed and friday......ye, because dog's don't get sick on tues, thurs, sat and sun.

The vet said they need £30 to just look at the dog, and they won't look at him and then bill my parents, they said I would need to pay there and then.

Gunna have to try and borrow some money or take some games down town and trade them for cash or something.

Will update

Re: I think my dog is ill

That was the vet we first registered him to when he was a puppy, it's a local/public one, I thought it was a bit steep too, and she said on the phone if he needs any treatment etc then i need to pay there and then also so moooore then likely it will actually be alot more then that £30.

Although he's been in bed most of the day, he's started walking around and sniffing and ate some more food and drank some more water, it does look like he's picking up again now, if it was really bad i'd obviously get the money together some way right now, but it's not as bad as it was so just waiting and seeing at the moment.

Just so people know, if I felt he was seriously ill, I would take him down to the vet and explain and make them look there and then, but I personally feel he's not doing to bad at the moment

EDIT:

Should I walk him later/let him eat grass if he wants to? (as that's what they do to help them be sick)

Re: I think my dog is ill

Good point actually forgot to mention that, he hasn't been to the toilet at all today, left the door open but he didn't go out, just looked at me like i'm stupid lol.

I haven't given him any bones, but that's not to say he's gone through a bin whilst i've been out or mum gave him chicken or something before she went and that had one in it.
Could also of eaten something of the park floor.

Re: I think my dog is ill

I am sorry but this boy needs to go to a vet to be checked he is not drinking a lot you say so there is a chance he will de-hydrate, have you spoken to your parents and told them that the dog is ill. Can you not get them to speak to the vet and pay by card over the phone.
