The problem bandage was padding normal gauze bandage, another layer of padding another gauze bandage and then a purple weave over bandage......it looked huge and the padding could be seen though bandage. This was 10 days after her injury and she had been useing leg fine up to that point (with bandage on) unfortunately for the 3rd bandage change she was taken off by nurse so i didnt see it go on to comment. (the 2nd change i was holding Charli so saw what went on)
Any way i will mention it too vets later
The one that has caused the problem doesnt sound right at all.

Sometimes dressings cause more problems than they solve

I hope it heals soon.

Re: Charli's leg update.....not impressed

Funnily enough my Charlie Dislocated his toe and has a hair-line fracture. He has his bandege taken off last night.

He had wadding in between his toes, Then cotton wool around the foot all the way up to above the hock, the a net type material over the top all the way round and then the cohesive bandage over the top. He had bit on for a week and then it slipped down below his hock.

He then started licking around the top of the bandage and it caused a sore so I put one my my bandages over the top to stop him licking it.

The X-ray showed a hair line fracture but he had his bandage off last night and it walking perfectly fine. we just have to give him another weeks rest then he can start going out on-lead.

Re: Charli's leg update.....not impressed

Charli is now bandage free and useing leg fine, like your charlie she has to rest for a week then back to normalish activities.
The vet was surprised at the amount of padding on her leg and past comment that he suspected the nurse put extra as boxers are known not to rest!!! Yeah thanks for that poor little mite couldnt walk thats to the bandage.
He did say i did well with her sores and they were healing nicely.
