Re: Proven remedy's for bonfire night
I have tried almost everything.
The most effective I have tried to date is a drug called Alprazolam (xanax).
this can be given prior to and during the traumatic event and greatly reduces the anxiety without effecting his ability to go about normally.
I am not saying my dog is oblivious to the fireworks, he is still very much aware but the fearful behaviour he normally displays is greatly reduced and he is still very much alert and with it!
Ask ur vet if they can prescribe it for ur dog it is the best drug by far and i have probs gone through the lot inc the holistic remedies.
Any vet who still gives out Acp is very much out of date and adding to the problem of noise phobic dogs....refuse this drug!
