Re: ice cubes...

I think a few people on her give ice cubes to their dogs and they like it I have also read on here that you can put an ice cube into the bottom of a plastic cup to make it more of a game for the dog to try to get the ice cube out Toots doesnt bother with ice cubes but then she must be like her Mum - I only have ice cubes in a G & T

Thats me! I put archies ice cubes in a cup he loves it, hes a shelltie so very clever and we are always thinking up new games to keep his mind busy.

We first gave him ice cubes when he was teething to sooth his gums really helped him and he still sees as a treat which is great as they have no caleries or fat etc.

hi lemmsey,
ice cubes are great for dogs and its a great method of cooling them down in the hot summer days and for teething pups too.

i think i put a few frozen treat recipes on the homemade recipe thread and yes you can use chicken stock in the frozen treats too.

you can also put fruit, veg and other tasty treats in the frozen ice cube. all animals love that sort of enrichment. i used to do it for the zoo animals when i was a zoo keeper.
