Margarine wrapper thief!!

Today my dog managed to nab the wrapper of some margarine which had a little still left in it- he was chased into the garden but by the time we got to him, he had swallowed it!!
It should just come out the other end right?
Any advice gratefully recieved.

my girl used to steel socks and before you could get to her she would swollow them ....yes swollow them hole...... then we would have to wait for them to come out the other end, and luckily they did after a day of farts it would come out
