I don't know anything about endocrine problems specifically in huskies and malamutes, but in humans endocrine problems result in specific conditions such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or hypothyroidism. (There are more, but these are the well-known ones) These kinds of conditions either require a relpacement of the substance that the endocrine gland insn't producing (such as insulin for diabetes, or levothyroxine for hypothyroidism) or surgery to remove part or whole of an overactive gland -eg to remove the thyroid gland for hyperthyroidism. Like I said, I dopn't know anything specifically about huskies or malamutes, but I can't see it being that much different - ie if you do have problems there is unlikely to be a cure that doesn't involve medication or surgery.
I'm sure that someone on here will be able to be more specific about how endocrine problems affect the two breeds you mention; but hope this helps in the meantime.
