Puppy with cystitis :(

Hi - our 13 week old puppy may have cystitis- went to the emergency vet today as this afternoon she started to keep on trying to pee but only very small amounts or 2 or 3 drops would come out. She was trying every minute or so.

Anyway the vet gave her an antibiotic and also pain killer. The thing is she has just had another pee which had blood in it - obviously this isn't normal when weeing but is it to do with the infection? We're to get an appointment with our vet for tommorrow anyway but don't want to worry

Did that work?
I guess it did or there would be no point in your posting it. Anyone else tried it?

yes she always believed they really helped him, he was a mini schnauzer who suffered from struvite crystals so was very prone to getting cystitis

it is supposed to help humans who have cystitis and they say if you are prone to getting it that you should drink cranberry juice regulary,

so surely it must work the same for dogs and maybe other animals

Thanks for all your replies - she seems a lot brighter today - had a good romp with a poodle on her walk! Got a follow up appt. with our vet tonight so hopefully she'll be given a clean bill of health.
