sandys pink nose

Hi all just wondered if anyone else had a pooch with a pink nose as opposed to a brown/black one?

Sandy my spaniel has a very light pink nose and yesterday I noticed it was almost a little scabby around the top, it has like a brown mark all around the top edge. The only thing I can think of is that it was a really warm day and although she was inside for most of it she did lay out for an hour from 11 - 12. Do you think its possibly a touch of sunburn? I feel bad that I didnt think about it when she was out yesterday. Can u use normal sunblock on a dog or can you buy something specially for her so that I can make sure it doesn't happen again!

thanks xxxx

Re: sandys pink nose

That does sound like sunburn.
I put normal sunblock on the muzzles of my white Bull Terriers as they tend to burn. I also put it on my grey horses nose as he has a pink snip that burns and peels.
