Unhappy Advise Needed Please Ronnie Needing A Wee Every 5 Mins

please can someone advise me , went to the caravan Friday as we do every weekend with Ronnie , where she goes on the beach , she was fine on Saturday morning , but having spent a good part of the day on the beach , on the night i noticed she was licking herself alot down below , and also not drinking any water (which she normally drinks tons ) . now since Saturday night she is going for a wee constantly only to wee a little bit . and also she did have some discharge in her wee Sunday morning but no more. i am so worried can anyone advise me to what this might be please . could it be cystitus ? what can i giver her to help her ? i have been giving her small amounts of nat yogurt . is there anything else i should do , or should i just get her to the vets ? oh forgot to say she is a 3 month old gsd .

thank you . i do hope someone comes along soon

Re: Advise Needed Please Ronnie Needing A Wee Every 5 Mins

does anyone know of any natural treatment i could give her , i just know the vet is going to want to give her antibiotics ( and if she really needs them then fine ) But i never give them to my children ( only when really really needed ) so don't want to give to my dog . my children are now 19,17,15,12 and only have each been to docs say 3 times each in their life , as i do not believe in filling the body with prescriptions , we get by on what nature provides , so would love to hear from like minded people please any tips before i take her to vets please ??????

Re: Advise Needed Please Ronnie Needing A Wee Every 5 Mins

Hiya
Mia (my 1 year old rottie) suffered a lot with water infections when she was a pup - at first i would take her to the vets and he would give her anitbiotics - but i soon realised that if i could get her to drink a lot of water it washed it out of her.

Also, just another thought - you said you were at the beach - was she drinking salt water? I remember giving our male staffy a bit of gammon once and it made him wee loads!!

if i were you i would make sure she gets plenty of fluids and see how it goes. Good luck!
