Re: Bad breath

If its not her teeth maybe her anal glands.
I know when one of my bitches needs her's extracting the smell of her breath is whiffy.
Does she scoot on the floor ?
That is usually a sign they need doing.
Good luck

Re: Bad breath

No its best if the vet did this.
I put a spoon of bran in my dog's dinners now and it seems to control this problem.
If its not this maybe her teeth have a layer of plaque on and need cleaning.
Hope this helps alittle.

Re: Bad breath

She could have a bad tooth, might be an idea to let your vet have a look.

Re: Bad breath

I don't think it's her diet, she's on Arden Grange and I've never had this problem before. She doesn't have any discomfort when i check her teeth and brush them, and she isn't in any discomfort elsewhere. She's currently upside down with her paws in the air snoring i might add LOL

Re: Bad breath

Is is possible that your dog could be eating 'junk' that you have not fed him.

ruling out tooth decay, gum disease, absesseces and ruling out serious illness there is nothing much that i can suggest

Re: Bad breath

No she's very good in that respect will only eat what I give her, won't even take treats off strangers or anyone else for that matter, she doesn't eat her food till I say and she won't eat if I am, she will wait til i'm finished!!!

I often wonder if she is indeed a real dog?? she won't even eat a sausage if it falls in front of her nose, I have to pick it up and give it to her!!!
