Re: Dog Acne?

there might be a herbal/diet based way of tackling this and i would certainly look this way first, after all theres not really any urgent hurry,if its not causing pain for her.Drugs from the vets all come with there own side effects, some not very nice.

Re: Dog Acne?

Could be an alergy to something in the food you give her.
I had a Bulldog years ago that used to come up in small lumps all over if he ate any kind of food with red food colouring in it.
The vet didnt say it was acne but I just thought it was worth a mention.

Re: Dog Acne?

she doesn't appear to be in any discomfort at all, she is fed bakers complete and sometimes raw meat, apart from the acne she is extreemly fit and healthy, too fit sometimes!!!!!!!

Re: Dog Acne?

bakers complete is not a very good food,i would switch her over to a good quality dry diet such as burns, nutro, royal canin and im sure others here can advise more.lots of these makes also offer sensitive skin/digestion diets also.

Re: Dog Acne?

I agree, try her with a dry food with less additives.
