Re: Alternatives To Commercial Treats

Bailey likes anything we use both but i would say his favourite is liver cake. It has helped no end with his training. Had been wondering if he would be ok with apple because think he's got a bit of a sweet tooth

she likes most meat!!! Re: Alternatives To Commercial Treats

Tootsie has commercial treats schmacko's - I just break off a little bit at a time when I am training her and a denti stick a day ( but I buy the large ones and chop them down for her as it works out cheaper that way ) She also loves the crusts off my toast on a morning and of course anything else that she can have off my plate except carrots - she picks them out and leaves them I have a box of gravy bones too but it will take her years to work her way through them - well she is only little. Just wait till I get her spayed, then I will have to watch her

We used to give Milo dentastix but now they're all on raw they don't need them!

They all love natural yoghurt too!

Re: Alternatives To Commercial Treats

I use a mixture, Archire still sees an ice cube as a treat though so he gets a couple of them a day!

Re: Alternatives To Commercial Treats

homemade treats are one of the best things you can give your dogs and puppies, you can put almost anything in them and you can find alot if recipes online. by making your own you know what is going in them and not put in things that some dogs are allergic to, i.e wheat, soya, beef!
