Puppy diet?

We have had our 7 week old puppy for 3 days, she doesnt seem to be eating much, i try her with 3 meals a day but she just picks for a minute then walks off again. The breeder gave us beta puppy food, and aslo said to give rice, either plain boiled or rice pudding made with goats milk and scramble egg. Ive tried all of these but she never seems to get "stuck in" Im worried shes not eating enough

Re: Puppy diet?

I would have a puppy of her age on 4 meals a day. I feed pups on boiled minced chicken. Prize choice chicken. Try adding a little of the mince to her kibble meal.
She's still quite young to have left the litter

Re: Puppy diet?

i have a 7 week old puppy too, who just picked at her food, but now she eats the whole lot. i changed her diet to denes wet food, she didnt like that so shes now on burns pet nutrition. i got it from ebay at a great price. all puppies upto 12 weeks o0ld should be fed 4 meals a day, then from 12-16 weeks 3 meals a day, from 16-9 months on 2 meals a day. you can then choose whether to keep feeding 2 meals or just 1 meal a day at this point.
