Both the pooches get raw bones to chomp on and that normally keeps their teethies nice and clean ... or so I thought
Ive noticed that Toffee is starting to get plaque on his teeth , so ive ordered a doggie toothbrush and toothpaste ... but now im worried , is there a specific way of cleaning the teeth ?
or is it just brush as id brush my own , making sure I brush the gum too ?

General brushing will help them like you would your own. As they get older there risk of tartar can increase and some breeds will have more tatar than others. Smaller breeds generally suffer more. Brushing will help alot.

I've already ordered a double ended doggie toothbrush and Vapet Tea Tree Toothpaste for dogs (cinnamon flavoured) ... it should be here by monday

Some good advice on Brushing Dog Teeth. Like humans, dog's need an annual cleaning and to prevent tarter just like humans, buy a canine toothpaste that helps to prevent it. And of course, brush every day (it will even help keep "dog breath" away.

Hmmm, I'm confused by this. Both our Yorkie's have yellowy brown gunk on their back teeth, not their front, and when we asked the vet about it he said it was normal and not to worry about it.
