Puppies just ate....

A frickin black bird

I know it is too late for the bird but will the pups be ok?

They are raw fed so probably thought that it was just a treat the only thing that was left was the beak

Re: Puppies just ate....

the bird will only have been a young one i think and it would have had loads of fleas but you can see them i picked one up once and they jumped all over me you can look at your pups to see if you can see any you have to treat yor pups for flees soon anyway perhaps when you worm em but i would look for the fleas and if you see any get them out. sometimes if you lay then on there backs you can see them in the stomach and in the armpits well all oever really but you can see them better there. remember if you find any fleas you have to crack them in half its no good standing on em

Re: Puppies just ate....

You should fine on the fleas/lice front. Most birds are very good at dealing with external parasites.

Aslong as you are worming, i wouldnt have thought there was a great risk. As your dogs are used to raw feeding, its unlikely to upset them a huge amount, not much meat on a blackbird
