As i said before, i think a natural diet goes a long way to help. I used to work at a dog creche, and Izzy went through 3 outbreaks of kennel cough without getting it, she's never been vaccinated for kennel cough, that is the biggest waste of money
I agree a natural diet goes a long way to helping avoid infectious diseases etc and I would love to trust you that it would work your way but I'm a bit wary as you are the first person I have come across with these views!

How do you know that a dog hasn't come into infectious diseases for 28 days?

Re: Raw Diet

Have you been feeding some organ meat? Or are you waiting to introduce that? How have they got on? Are their stools nice and solid?

Re: Raw Diet

If she is a good healthy weight, 2-3% of her body weight a day is ideal. But you need to get the balance of muscle meat, organ meat and bone right, it's easy to know when you are from what comes out the other end!

Yeah if you feed to much organ meat it will give them the runs.

I only feed organ meat 2-3 times a week, but you can feed it everyday in small amounts. When I do feed it they will get one lamb heart each or a couple of lamb kidneys or a handful of diced liver.

Obviously if you want to feed it everyday the amounts would have to be lower but also you have a bigger breed than me so would need to feed a little bit more than I do. Have I confused you yet?
