blood in poo
at the back of our house is boundary line from when the houses were built and there is a ivy bush which has engulfed everything ..our sheperd bitch has started eating the black bearies which have dropped in with the wind . she now has traces of blood in her poo ! what can i get out of the chemist to treat this...i remember years ago with another sheperd we had we got a large syringe with vitamin from the vets which we had to give to the dog through its mouth ...does this sound right to treat this problem ??

Re: blood in poo
took the dog to the vet and its the ivy allright folks ! they also told me that prolonged eating of the ivy will result in stomach ulcers and cuts to the stomach lining ! not a nice thought folks...the ivy bush is in next doors garden but some branches hang into our garden so i will cut them off , and i am even thinking of putting weedkiller on the ivy to kill it but i dont think the neighbour will be happy |!
