This is my first time on a pet forum so please excuse any mistakes. I own an american bull dog, he is 18mths old, his temperament is brilliant he has sensative skin and has started chewing his feet, a blood test has shown he is allergic to wheat and soya. I have looked into the different feeds available and don't know which to use. I would be grateful for any advice anyone could offer me. We have owned rottweilers for 25yrs but have never had this problem. I look forward to hearing from anyone who has had positive results from the feeds available.

Re: skin allergy
I would also suggest the raw diet approach but... if you feel you dont want the hassle of it you can buy it ready made frozen from most pet shops.
you could also talk to a nutritionist about these options: Naturediet chicken and rice: 100% gluten free, no soya i believe, forthglade is another very similar food. You could use burns hypoallergenic mixer which is gluten and soy free. For dry foods arden grande and burns both do hypoallergenic foods. Pork and potato and fish n potato i think they are called. |
