Re: What do you feed your dog on?

I have a new Bichon pup who is fed purina dry puppy food. I would like to change him to a premium dry food. My neighbour suggested Hills. Will this be good enough?

The amount of deals online I dont know why anyone would go with a supermarket pet food, Supermarkets are quick and easy shops and thats exactly the same for the pet foods they stock - little or no nutritional content at all though dogs love it as its the equivalent of a McDonnys

I didn't think there was a problem with Purina

I only took Oscar off it because he was so hungry all the time on it but i thought it was pretty ok

Just seen your post ... Hills science is preservatives on preservatives if you ask me. I cant understand the science behind it as nearly every ingredient is indigestable for dogs, smells horrible too. The dog will scoff it of course but I wouldnt rate it.
Im using burns mini bites for my pup which has a good all-round quality base - they use non battery farmed chicken (which has got to be a plus ) that I add say liver, chicken or lamb to on occasion. Found a nice deal online yesterday too 7.5kg delivered for £20

i personally wouldnt feed Hills, many members on here use brands like Arden grange, Burns, James wellbeloved, theses are all good quality dry foods with no artificial additives & with a higher meat content than a lot of other well known brands
