Re: Nature Diet!

I saw DoubleTrouble's post on this the other day and bought Olivia a few packs of this when I went to get her bag of JWB today. I mixed in some of her kibble (dry, she usually doesn't eat kibble unless it's been soaked) and she gobbled it up! It was lovely to see her seem to really enjoy "dog" food, as she's a fussy one and only really gets excited about food when it's "human" food (rice, tuna, mince, chicken etc.).

What's the offer with this? The 18 for 16?

I paid 80p a pack today, how much do you all get it for? Is berriewoodwholesale the cheapest about?

I'd like to keep on with this if it suits my Olivia.

Re: Nature Diet!

I love your Sharpei - I want it!!! - I look after a sharpei cross - more like a sharpei than the other breed! I put that on ND puppy (yep - i'm in charge of food) initially, and have just started it on ND lamb - it is in beautiful condition.
Berriewood is the cheapest place by far - but you have to be ordering a few outers to make it worthwhile

Ha. Well, I was in London the other week and went to the pet store to buy Olivia a 2kg for the few days I was down and they didn't have JWB. So it was between Burns and AG! Which I thought was good because I've always wanted to try them and move her off JWB as they seem to have a better rep with various people I've spoken to.

Anyway, got her the fish and potato and for two days she was having NONE of it. Tried it dry, tried it soaked in warm water.. none of it. Covered it in yogurt (which she loves) and she had some, but think it was the yogurt not the kibble.

Reasons I don't think she liked it.. 1) kibble was too big, 2) it was new to her and wasn't a slow change, 3) she's a fussy bitch! But she seems to like ND, it just annoys me to buy things like that because I know I can make her a (probably) cheaper AND healthier similar thing, with my own brown rice, veg and meat. I know it's for convenience, but I'm not a fan of food that comes out of packets. It's different with dry food though.. I don't feel the same.

And it didn't help that the first (of the five packets I bought today) I'd opened had a lovely layer of mould on the top. As it was the first time I'd bought ND, I wasn't sure if it was 'supposed' to be like that..! So I opened two of the others to check, but they were fine. Same date on them both, 2010. Guess that one must have had a hole in it or something.

Re: Nature Diet!

I am loving the Nature Diet with Oscar. He is on it totally now with just a small handfull of JWB (yes DT i have a bag of Arden Grange and will be switching soon).

Oscar has been suffering with loose stools for ages now but since putting him soley on the ND they are fantastic (well for dog poo anyway).

I haven't ordered from Berriewoods yet because he is only on the puppy for 1 more month but bought a case for about £15.00 yesterday.

Re: Nature Diet!

When shall I move Oli off of "puppy" food? She's 8 months in a week, weighs about 15/16kg last time I checked (about two weeks ago).

Re: Nature Diet!

Yeah, their website says use puppy for the first 6 months then you can change onto adult.

My 3 are on Naturediet and Arden Grange and they love it
I work for pets at home so get discount off of everything, so i pay £10.80 for a case, I just wish they would start selling Arden Grange.
Berriewoods is definately the cheapest you will find it
