Hello,

I am concerned with my almost 5yr old male Doberman. A couple weeks ago he stopped eating his regular food. He has lost 19 pounds since then, but has now leveled off in the last week or so. He's normally 97 pounds, and is now staying at 78 pounds. He will eat "junk" food such as Kibbles & Bits and wet Beneful, but still won't eat his regular diet of Canidae. This has happened before as he has a taste for stuffing and will swallow some once in awhile, losing a little weight until he passes it. This time he seems to have passed it all, but he had some trouble with bowel movements the first few days. I took him to the vet the last time, but it cost me almost $400 for them to tell me to let it pass through his system. I don't mind spending the money for an actual problem, but I felt really taken advantage of the last time. Any advice?
