Nature Diet-dry food with it?

After much reading we've decided on Nature Diet for our new puppy when he comes home on Wed (after a week of slowly weaning him off his current dry food). So do i need a dry food as well with ND? If so, would Burns be ok? I was thinking of James Wellbeloved but have read different things about it on here, so not sure?
Many thanks
M

I feed burns on its own, but the nutritionist i have spoke to in the past have said that if people feed wet food with burns, that it is normally N.Diet shes says they are much the same, in quality.

Re: Nature Diet-dry food with it?

I have been feeding Nature diet for years - I also add Arden Grange to the evening meal - works great for me.
The dry you are speaking of sounds fine and it would be best not to make any more changes at the moment maybe. But AG in worth a look in the future and if you contact them they should send samples
regards
DT

Re: Nature Diet-dry food with it?

Thank you. So is ND designed to be used on its own or with dry food as well?

I've asked Arden grange for a sample which they are sending but now I see their puppy food has maize (as per my other post!). It is soooo confusing!

How would I change over a puppy from the current breeder's dry food to ND? SHould I keep feeding it for a week or so and then gradually add ND to it and lessen the dry until it is all ND?

Nature diet is a complet food - so feeding alone would provide a balanced diet. Myself I prefer mine to have some dry - so give AG with the last meal!

Before settling onAG I used both Burns & JWB- but did have more poos with these - BUT BURNS - it is still a good food.

Re: Nature Diet-dry food with it?

I posted this on the other thread too but it is interesting because it doesn't rate Arden grange or Burns very highly. I couldn't find nature diet on there.

I wondered who it was sponsored by

Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble

Going to try and have a look and see if there is anything it does rate that doesn't mean i have to stop feeding the children so i can afford to feed the dog
